Nominations were received for trainees in a wide range of industry sectors. NGT Tasmania consultant Julie Kiss was on the judging panel for this category.

“The overall standard of nominees was excellent, especially their customer service skills and confidence. They were all very well presented and spoken and all had a strong vision of where they see themselves career wise, and how they were going to achieve this in the future”.

Tahnee Murphy from Karizma Hair Design was announced the winner of the NGT Tasmania Trainee of the Year Award to huge applause and cheers from her colleagues from Karizma.

“I was very proud and honoured. I feel so grateful to be working in an industry that enables you to get to know your customers and I am just so grateful,” Tahnee said.

Karizma Hair Studio owner Victoria Padman was overjoyed by Tahnee’s win.
