Recordkeeping Career

In 2009, Nikita Hillier started a Certificate III in Recordkeeping with NGT. 18 months later, she is a full-time employee of Devonport City Council and could not be happier!
According to Nikita, she was lucky to gain a traineeship with NGT and she started work immediately in the Devonport City Council Records Department. “NGT has been so supportive. Nothing was ever too big or too small. They were always willing to help,” said Nikita.
Over her time with the council, Nikita has become a member of the National Records Association. “One of the major highlights of my traineeship was when I was nominated for the NGT Trainee of the Year Award. I have met so many new people and made some great friends.”
